sideways walk
Hello mother jungle
Your hair is nappy
Wake me from my slumber
Shake me
Under the tepid leaves
Your breathing
Your barren knees
Are falling rivers
Waters in the mountains
People of the jungle
In the nose of fire
Those who know of
Spirals in the stars
The far off martyrs
In the eyes
Bent forward
Skeleton disguise
The missing teeth
They beg for gums
Only by a sudden
Change of luck
would they be on
faces
making smiles,
and frowns,
and narrow minded
growls, and snickers
and those god-awful
sneers with cigarette
smoke.
